2 days workshop on earthquake, its consequences & remedial measures & role of NGOs was organised by 'North East India Mass Communication & Cultural Research'. Tripura Yuktibad Bikash Mancha' was invited as expert speakers on the field by the organizers. Members of TYBM demonstrated with a power point presentation discussing the science in a lucid manner. Organization laid emphasis on the science and research of earthquake forecasting and mitigation of the problem rather so called disaster management activities which are encouraged by govt. and non-govt. platforms now a days. TYBM rises the demand of adequate research in the said field and ensure the scope for study in geology, seismology, physical geography and earthquake related subjects in college and universities of Tripura as our state is situated in highest earthquake prone zone. After concluding the presentation a good interaction carried over with other experts,students, teachers and organizers attended the workshop.

letter of 'Tripura yuktibad Bikash Mancha' published in a local daily. letter was regarding Radhanagar slum communal tension erupted around cow sacrifice for post funeral ceremony of Muslim deceased woman.
Play 'Ekti udvaabaner nepathye' written by Tripura Yuktibad Bikash Mancha' & performed by Ramthakur College in inter college & university drama competition organised by State council for science & technology at Icfai university on 20th January. Play was written on the accidental invention of anesthesia. The key point of the drama was that any invention of science is a part of a historical development & not a contribution of any individual. But in existing capitalist system those people decide the future of science who invest for its experiment, that's why its contradictory to the interest of the society.
