Remembering Satarupa

Satarupa Saha,20 member of Tripura Yuktibad Bikash Mancha died on 30-5-2012.Her sudden death shocked all of us.She was enthusiastic,active in programme and did her best to complete the task given to her.A condolence meeting held on 10th June 5 pm at Sishubihar school.Organization members,her classmates and relatives were present on that meeting.

Street corner on Hiroshima Day

Commemorating atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6th and 9th August respectively as an aftermath of world war II ,Tripura Yuktibad Bikash Mancha organised a street corner in front of City Centre, Agartala.Organization,through music and song,lecture session and recitation expressed the view that imperialist world system is source of all military conflicts across the present day world and lasting peace can only come after rooting out of imperialist world system.Organization called upon people to become conscious about source of war and act accordingly.

Rally on World Environment Day



A rally was organized on 5th June like earlier years. Banners and Placards heralding views of the organization on environment issues. Rally march forward through the crowd streets of Agartala city and culminated into a mass meeting at Battala.

Cocoon worshipped as Deity


At the outskirt of Agartala city a human or ape shaped cocoon was being worshiped by large number of people. Tripura Yuktibad Bikash Mancha intervened and explained that this was only a cocoon of a variety of moth(Spialgia Apeis). Convinced by the organization house owner handed over the creature to organization where it developed into moth in captivity and was alive for 2 days. Zoologists of organization identified it to be Spialgia Apeis.

4th Central Conference 2012

On 6th and 8th April Tripura Yuktibad Bikash Mancha delegate conference and open session solemnized with great enthusiasm. Important documents like working programme, charter of demands, documents on current situation were finalized through threadbare deliberation from units upto central conference. Open session was orchestrated with videos on past activities of the organization. Dance based on Sankhachil song of Hemanga Biswas, drama exposing science fair participation from schools apart from lecture session. Open session gathered huge number of audience and also attracted media attention.
